Boards don't need a tree company that shows up once. They need one that knows the property, remembers which trees have already been lost, and prices the work so the budget actually holds.

We've been on the same communities for years with Goodwin, SBB Management and others. Managers change on their side, crews change on ours, and the trees are still there. That's a different job than trimming one tree in one yard, and we treat it like one.

What A Board Actually Gets

Every estimate says what we're doing, to which tree, where on the property, and what the community should expect when we pull out. If a resident complaint started it, the estimate answers that complaint in writing, so you can forward it and be done. For work that isn't community-wide we'll write a separate estimate and invoice per property on request, so it bills back clean.

The Estimate Is The Price

Since 2019 we have never charged a customer more than we quoted. If a job runs longer than we figured, that's our miss, not your budget. If the board wants more done while we're out there, that's a separate number, and we agree on it before anybody touches it.

Three Trees, One Trip

Most of what a commercial visit costs is getting a crew and equipment to you. Three trees priced as one day is almost always cheaper than three separate visits, and we'll tell you that up front instead of waiting for you to ask.

One Standard, Every Species

A row of trees balanced and elevated to the same standard reads as a community somebody looks after. A row where every tree got cut by whoever was cheapest that year reads as neglect, and fixing that costs more than doing it right would have.

Wrong Cuts Can Cost A Community Its Trees

We can usually tell when somebody has been cutting on a tree without knowing how. The cuts are in the wrong place, and wrong cuts are what kills trees, slowly, over years, long after the invoice is paid. Anybody can beat our price on a trim. What that saves you today can cost the community trees it already paid to plant. We prune to ANSI A300, and every cut goes where the tree can close it.

People Live Under These Trees

NamaStay Hideaway is a tiny living community on a few wooded acres outside Van Alstyne, run by Chuck and Molly, who could not be more pleasant to work with. Folks live under those trees year-round, so we're out there regularly cleaning up whatever needs it. Last call was limbs over a newly built living area. Anything that could come down where people sit gets handled first.

Occupied sites take more planning, not less. Tree work can change in a hurry, which is exactly why you want somebody with over twenty years of it making the calls. We keep the disruption down where we can, and we'd rather answer your questions at the walkthrough than have anybody standing near the drop zone.

We're always glad when they invite us back out.

Self-Help Tree Work For Community Managers

When an association has to remedy a violation itself, a dead tree, a replacement, a minimum tree count, we run it as a work order:

When A Resident Says A Tree Is Dying

Send us photos. One of the base, one of the whole canopy. We'll tell you what we think it likely is, what it probably isn't, and whether it needs a visit. If it does, we come out. If it looks like a watering problem we'll say so instead of selling you a treatment. A community that's already lost trees can't afford to lose more to a guess.

The Credentials Behind The Estimate

Questions

Commercial & HOA Questions

Will the price change once you start?

No. Since 2019 we have never charged a customer more than we quoted. If a job takes longer than we figured, that is our miss, not your budget. The only time your number changes is when you say so. If the board wants more done while we are there, that is a separate line, and we agree on it before anyone touches it. And if we find something the estimate could not have accounted for, you hear about it that day, before any work continues.

Do you provide before and after photos?

Yes. Every self-help work order gets before and after photos sent back for the association's records, and we will photograph any other job on request.

Can you give one estimate for the whole community?

Yes, and that is usually the cheapest way to do it. For work that isn't community-wide, we can write a separate estimate and invoice for each property upon request, so it bills back correctly.

Do I need to be there when the work is being done?

No, and most of the time you're better off not standing in it. We walk the property with you before we start so everybody agrees on what's happening, and we walk it again when we're done so you can see it. In between, a tree job can change in a hurry, and the crew needs to be watching each other, not answering questions from behind the drop zone. That's a good bit of what you're paying for, over twenty years of somebody making those calls in the moment. If something comes up mid-job that changes the plan, you hear about it that day, before we go any further. And if you do want to be on site, that's fine. We'll just show you where to stand.

Do you work alongside our landscaper?

Yes. Landscapers keep a community looking good week to week. We handle the tree work that needs a climber, rigging, or an arborist's call on whether a tree should stay.

Will you come look at one tree?

Yes. Send us photos first, one of the base of the tree and one of the whole canopy, and we will tell you what we think it likely is and whether it needs a visit. If it does, we come out.
