Rockwall County

Named For A Wall Under The Ground

In 1851 settlers found a stone wall lying beneath the surface of what would become the townsite. When the community was established on April 17, 1854, they named it Rockwall, and a post office opened that same year.

The Boydstun family of Illinois had settled a 572-acre tract here in the late 1840s. In 1873 the legislature made Rockwall County out of part of Kaufman County, Rockwall became the county seat, and the town incorporated in 1874. The Missouri, Kansas and Texas line arrived in 1886, and Rockwall became a shipping point for cotton, wheat and corn. It sits where State Highways 66 and 205 meet, near the shore of Lake Ray Hubbard.

We inspect the whole tree, root flare included, before we recommend anything, and we’ll tell you when a tree doesn’t need work yet. The right work, done right.

Emerald Ash Borer Is Here

EMERALD ASH BORER. It’s confirmed in Rockwall County. As of June 2026, Texas A&M Forest Service lists forty confirmed Texas counties, and Rockwall is one of them. The Forest Service says infested trees die within two to five years. If you have an ash tree in Rockwall, that’s worth knowing now rather than later. Usually the first sign is the top of the canopy thinning out, then shoots coming out low on the trunk. Whether an ash is worth protecting, and what that would take, is a conversation to have standing in front of the tree, not over the phone. Walking your ash and telling you which one you have costs you nothing.

Our Standard

The Arborwise™ Way

Six standards, on every job in Rockwall, whether it is one limb or a full removal.

01

Safety Comes First

Safety is not optional on an Arborwise™ job. Required PPE, proper rigging, controlled cuts, and a crew that speaks up the moment something looks unsafe. No job is worth someone getting hurt.

02

We Don't Cut Corners

Doing it right sometimes takes longer. We do not rush an unsafe cut, skip PPE, or leave a bad cleanup because it is faster. Good tree work is deliberate.

03

Your Property Matters

Every yard belongs to someone who trusted us to be there. We protect your driveway, your landscaping, and your trees with the right cuts and the right decisions, not just the fastest ones.

04

The Little Things Count

We keep our equipment maintained, our loads secure, and we pick up the small sticks most crews leave behind. We leave every property better than we found it.

05

We Look Out For Each Other

Arborwise™ is a crew, not a collection of individuals. We communicate, watch for hazards, and speak up for one another on every single job.

06

Even When It's Harder

The Arborwise™ Way is not always the fastest way. It is the right way, even when it takes longer, and even when nobody is watching.
